Last fall, we launched the first leg of our year-long fundraising campaign with an ambitious target: $175,000 for the war to end all wars.
As the imperialists demand money for militarism, we launched a fundraising campaign to build a party capable of ending their rule—and their wars—altogether.
We are proud to report that we exceeded our target and raised a total of $200,000. Among other things, this allowed us to hire the first of the four full-time staff that we need to hire in 2025—a hugely important step. But there’s more work to be done.
In fact, the warmongering has only intensified. Both major parties are promising tens of billions to meet NATO spending targets, which puts every social program on the chopping block. And we are now embroiled in a trade war that threatens the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of workers and demands further cuts. This is the ruling class’s plan: cut everything that protects and extends human life, fund everything that destroys it.
Sooner or later, the workers will be forced to fight back on a scale we haven’t seen for generations. We are determined to build a revolutionary party capable of inspiring, leading and organizing the millions of workers who will inevitably rise. But we must increase our forces numerically and qualitatively to be seen as a viable option by the workers. Ideas are crucial, but so too is a serious, professional apparatus to spread them.
This is why we have set ourselves the target of raising $250,000 by the end of 2025. This will allow us to make the three additional hires we need to advance our apparatus, including our very first full-time organizer in British Columbia to help consolidate and advance the impressive work our comrades have done in that province.
A future of war, poverty and destruction is no future at all. But it’s all capitalism can offer. If you want to end the rule of the warmongers, fund the Revolutionary Communist Party today.
