A recent survey from TD Bank Group found that 70 per cent of Canadian parents believe their kids will be worse off than they were. Nearly half of parents said they expect to financially support their child far into adulthood, despite only a third believing that they’ll have the means to do so.With the ever-increasing cost of living, ever-decreasing productivity, and a quarter of Canadians resorting to food banks, it is no wonder parents are pessimistic about their children’s future. Their doom and gloom is an accurate expression of the fact that capitalism has reached a dead end.
The very basis of the status quo is built on the hope that one’s kids will live in a better world than that of their parents. The crisis of capitalism has ensured that this hope will only be smashed into a million pieces.
To restore faith in the future of humanity, capitalism has to go. Only through communist revolution can we ensure that our children will be able to enjoy the beauty of life to the full.
