The looming trade war poses a serious threat to the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of workers in Canada. But do the union leaders have a plan to counter this threat?

Without collective action by the workers themselves, even the world’s most successful boycott will not save jobs.

Back in May, 300 workers at Amazon’s DXT4 facility in Laval signed CSN union cards, making it the second unionized facility in North America. The company has been busy trying to destroy the union, ever since.

“We had a chance to make labour history and we squandered it.”

Class peace is dying. An epoch of class war is upon us. The labour movement needs to acknowledge this fact and draw all the conclusions that flow from it.

Let’s call a spade a spade. What we have here is the dictatorship of capital. 

One issue underpins the entirety of the ongoing postal workers’ strike: Canada Post management is in a race to the bottom with private corporations. 

It is imperative to extend the movement.

The FIQ leadership’s collaborationist approach is a losing strategy and must be thrown out once and for all.

Only by defying this anti-democratic measure can the workers beat back the bosses’ offensive.
