Everywhere you look, in all countries, there’s a burning hatred of the rich and powerful: the bankers, Wall Street, and the establishment in general. This hatred was cleverly exploited by Donald Trump. And this has appalled the serious representatives of capital.
The existence of imperialist military blocs like NATO is further proof that the capitalist system is incapable of harmoniously developing the means of life.
Trump is certainly not a “normal” politician, and is inclined toward authoritarian bluster. But his base of support is decidedly not a fascist movement, and his rise does not signify a fundamental shift to the right among the US population. Rather, it is a symptom of instability and the lack of a coherent working-class option.

When political leaders like Biden, Starmer, Macron and Scholz, together with all the other criminal warmongers – sitting in the comfort of their government buildings, living in their luxurious residences, making lots of money as they serve the interests of the rich and powerful capitalist class – make speeches about the ‘right of Israel to defend itself’, remember what the hell they’ve brought to Gaza.
The Israeli regime, and the western powers who support it, are enemies of the workers and youth of the Middle East. They have been wreaking havoc in the region for more than a century, keeping it crushed under the jackboot of barbaric imperialist oppression.
The position of revolutionary communists in this conflict is clear. We stand with the oppressed against the oppressors. We stand against the reactionary imperialist state of Israel and with the oppressed Palestinians, and now Lebanese, who are at the receiving end of brutal military aggression. We support their right to defend themselves.
